Animal Crossing: New Horizons Official Companion Guide — Update
We hope you’re all well and safe! Since its release a week ago, it’s been great to see Animal Crossing: New Horizons providing some comfort to many who are stuck at home. These are difficult times, and we know that game guides won’t help much with getting through them, but we’d like to give you an update on our situation.
The circumstances have caused some delays, but our Animal Crossing: New Horizons guide has now been printed. The last stages of production were nail-biting—in the end we’ve been lucky, because all of our production partners were fantastic and carried out their roles perfectly, despite everything. The only thing left now is shipping from our printer to retailers around the world. The book will be available in English, French, German and Spanish languages across Europe from mid April. Fans in North America and Australia will have to wait a little longer, since shipping via air isn’t an option right now. We’re sorry to say that you’ll have to wait until end of April or even early May before the book arrives in stock. The situation with shipping remains fluid, though, so we can only ask for your patience and will update you when we know more.
As you’ve probably heard, Amazon is prioritising essential goods for the time being, which means that they’ve stopped ordering other products, such as books. This means that Amazon will not even get enough stock to fulfil all of their existing pre-orders. As soon as Amazon is ready to take them, we’ll ship more books to them, but please understand that this could take another while.
We think the book turned out great and we certainly hope that once you hold it in your hands you’ll consider it worth the wait. Working with Nintendo was a real honor, and we’d like to thank them again for making the development of this book go as smoothly as any project we’ve had, despite taking place under some truly unprecedented circumstances.
